|About Breast Cancer :

Understand breast cancer ,it helps to understand how any cancer can develop .Breast Cancer is an uncontrolled growth of breast cells. Cancer occurs as a result of mutations, or abnormal changes ,in the gens responsible for regulating the growth of cells and keeping them healthy work like nucleus which work like control room of each cell. The cells in our bodies replace themselves through an orderly process of cell growth new cells replace old ones die out .but over time mutations can “turn on” certain genes and “turn off” others in a cell. that changed cell gains the ability to keep dividing without replacing the old one and control or order. Producing more cells just like it and forming a tumor.

A tumor can not be dangerous to health .Benign tumors are not considered cancerous their cells are close to normal .They grow slowly , and they do not invade nearby tissues or spread to other part of body. Malignant tumors are cancerous. Malignant Cells eventually can spread beyond the original tumor to other parts of the body.

Breast Cancer refers to a malignant tumor that has developed from cells in the breast .mostly breast cancer either begins in the cells of the lobules(Milk producing glands) or the ducts, the passages that drain milk from the lobules to the nipple, less commonly breast cancer can begin in the stromal tissues, which include the fatty and fibrous connective tissues of the breast.

Breast cancer is caused by a genetic abnormality. However, only 5-15% cancer are due to an abnormality inherited from your mother of father.90% of breast cancer are due to genetic abnormality. While there are steps every person can take to help the body stay as healthy as possible like eating a balanced diet, not smoking, limiting alcohol ,and exercising regularly,

Stages of Breast Cancer

1* Stage 0 Cancer cells remain inside the breast duct, without invasion into normal adjacent breast tissue
2* Stage 1 Cancer is 2 centimeters of less and is confined to the breast
3
4* Stage 2 No tumor can be found in the breast, but cancer cells are found in the axillary lymph nodes Or The tumor measures 2 centimeters or smaller and has spread to the axillary lymph nodes Or the tumor is larger than 2 but no larger than 5 centimeter and has not spread to the axillary lymph nodes.

6* Stage 3 The tumor is larger than 2 but no larger than 5 centimeters and has spread to the axillary lymph nodes Or The tumor is larger than 5 centimeters but has not spread to the axillary lymph nodes.
7 *Stage 4 no tumor is found in the breast. Cancer is found in axillary lymph nodes that are sticking together or to other structures,or cancer may be fond in lymph nodes near the breastbone. Or the tumor is any size Cancer has spread to the axillary lymph nodes, which are sticking together of to other structures or cancer may be found in lymph nodes near the breastbone
8* Stage5 The tumor may be any size and has spread to the chest wall and or skin of the breast and may have spread to axillary lymph nodes that are clumped together or sticking to other structures, or cancer may have spread to lymph nodes near the breastbone
9* Stage6 There may either be no sign of cancer in the breast or a tumor may be any size and may have spread to the chest wall and or the sin of the breast , the cancer has spread to lymph nodes either above or below the collarbone and the cancer may have spread to axillary lymph nodes or to lymph nodes near the breastbone
10* Stage7 The cancer has spread or metastasized to other parts of the body

so many type of Breast cancer Treatment

A breast cancer is made up of many different kinds of cancer cells, getting rid of all those cells can require different types of treatments.

Your treatments plan may include :
1Surgery
2Radiation therapy
3Chemotherapy
4Hormonal therapy
5Targeted therapies

Cells are the building block of every living thing .The instructions that tell a cell what to do are in genes within the center of the cell .Those genes are made of DNA.DNA can change or be damaged over time. Some DNA changes are harmless, but other can cause disease. Cancer cells are “born” when abnormal changer in DNA tell Cells to grow faster and behave differently than they should. As these cancer cells multiply to form a tumor , they continue to change becoming more and more different from each other.

As a cancer grows, new and different types of breast cancer cells are created within that same cancer. The mixture of cells that builds up over time becomes more and more complex even though every cell of a cancer is related to the same original “parent' cell, all the cells that make up a cancer are not the same. By the time a breast cancer tumor is one centimeter, the millions of cells that make up the lump are very different from each other, and each cancer has its own genetic identity, or fingerprint created by the DNA in its cells.

Different Cancer Cells Need Different Treatments

Your pathology report, blood tests ant other tests can be so complicated and why there are so many different treatments for breast cancer. Because cancer cells can be so different what kills one type of cell might not do anything to another. Surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, hormonal therapy and targeted therapies all work in different ways on their own plus they can be extra effective when given together.

Success with treatments that target the genes and proteins in cancer cells bring hope for new therapies
? Hormonal therapy targets hormonal receptors that lead to cell growth
? Herceptin targets the HER2 gene.
? Avastin targets new blood vessels that feed the cancer.
? Tykerb targets the HER2 gene in advanced cancers

This information can help women and their doctors decide if chemotherapy is necessary after surgery and radiation therapy.
